Mi cuerpo se quedó inmóvil mientras mis ojos etiquetados la silueta oscura que cubre la puerta. El desconocido estaba a unos metros más alto que yo. Su cabeza rapada en declive hacia los lóbulos distintos, un cuello grueso y los hombros masculinos amplios. Eché la cabeza hacia arriba, para echar un vistazo a su rostro, pero estaba completamente envuelta en la oscuridad. Tal vez se dio cuenta de mi situación, porque en ese momento se acercó un poco más.
Instintivamente di un paso atrás. Mi corazón dio un vuelco mientras miraba la cara ahora envuelta en luz de luna. Una gran Frente, cejas escasas, ojos profundamente arraigados, una nariz aguileña y una mandíbula quebrada rojiza. Todo fue un poco desproporcionado. No era una cara bonita, o incluso tierno. Era... amenazador. Una cara que se escapaba de en un callejón oscuro. Pero entonces, había algo allí que te hacen mirar hacia atrás. Sólo una vez. Sólo para estar segura”.
Mi reseña:
Estaba sorprendida como el libro empezó porque la primera escena era un poco fuerte que te dejaba preguntando que paso?? Y desde ahí que no pude dejar de leerlo, la historia acerca del futuro y humanos casi extintos. Nuestra protagonista es Mira una joven de 16 años que deja su sector para ir a vivir a una isla con su madre y todo lo que ella conocía cambia.
Me gustó mucho como la protagonista Mira, encontré un personaje fuerte a pesar de las dificultades que tuvo y su tremendo ingenio. De cómo se siente atraída de Neel pero él es diferente y está a punto de descubrir cuan diferente él es.
Realmente la historia me atrajo mucho y me gustó mucho la forma que la autora describe las cosas, ahora el final fue algo inesperado y espero que haya un segundo libro porque la autora no me puede dejar con esa inquietud acerca el final.
Realmente si te gusta la literatura de ciencia ficción, te va a gustar este libro y realmente ha sido entretenido y realmente no me esperaba los acontecimientos que se desarrollarían.

Everything was a bit disproportionate. It was not a handsome or even a cute face. It was...menacing. A face you would run away from in a dark alley. I was surprised as the book started because the first scene was a bit stronger than you left wondering what has happened. And from there I could not put it down, the story about the future and humans almost extinct. Our protagonist is a 16 year old young woman left her sector to go live on an island with her mother and everything she knew about her world changes.
I liked as the protagonist Mira, I found a strong character despite the difficulties she encounters and love her witty. How is attracted to Neel but he is different and is about to discover how different it is.
Actually the story attracted me a lot and I really liked the way the author describes things, now the end was unexpected and I hope there is a second book because the author cannot have me hanging there.
If you like science fiction literature, you will like this book and it has really been fun and I really did not expect the events develop.
